About me
I live in Sheffield and have been working as a practitioner of Internal Family Systems Therapy there since 2012. I am also trained in the Hakomi method of Assisted Self-Discovery, and blend that into my work.
I have been on the path of holistic healing and a holistic view of the world for very many years. My first formal training was as a homeopath, starting in 1987. I practised homeopathy for ten years, and then later trained in both Hakomi and Internal Family Systems therapy.
I have been part of a Zen Practice group since 2011 and I integrate this, too, into my IFS practice.
I have taught Mindfulness, with particular emphasis on the question 'How can we integrate a meditation practice with our daily, humdrum - or not so humdrum! - lives?' IFS is a hugely valuable tool in this regard because it is not only a form of mindfulness-based therapy but can be woven into everyday life. Both IFS and my Zen practice form the backbone of my daily life and relationships.
